Advanced Law Enforcement Research and Training (ALERT) was
designed to provide progressive police training and consulting to
Law Enforcement agencies across the country.

ALERT's founder, Lieutenant Paul R. Laferriere, has over 20 years
experience in Law Enforcement. He has been training Law
Enforcement personnel in various legal topics for over 6 years. He is
certified in the Reno, NV model of PTO training. He is currently the
PTO Coordinator for the Lowell, Massachusetts Police Department,
one of the original test sites that assisted in shaping the content of
this model program. Besides teaching for the Lowell Police
Department and Middlesex Community College, Paul is also a
practicing attorney having graduated from Suffolk University Law
School in 1991.
